Re: Latest marlin firmware for TAZ 5

Thanks I will try this version and see if it still breaks my custom bed. Hope not really liked the firmware otherwise.

Re: Latest marlin firmware for TAZ 5

Hmm... interesting about having to match the thermistors... bed and hotend. Well the firmware has to be told what kind of thermistor you have if it's not a stock taz. In my case I have a custom extruder and bed design so they use different thermistors than the stock taz. So you have to change the c...

Re: Latest marlin firmware for TAZ 5

There was some discussion about the thermistor tables a while back on marlin git. Maybe this bug is also in the RC2.. Stock TAZ 5 thermistors should work fine, I have no problems woth them. Yup that's probably why few noticed the issue. I switched to an E3Dv6 with a #11 thermistor. Which is not lis...

Re: Latest marlin firmware for TAZ 5

Try to flash back to the original fw and see if the error persists. I can't imagine that this is due to the fw change, as long as you don't changed to bed sensor accidently. By the way, it looks like RC4 with a huge amount of bug fixes will be released very soon :) I will configure this release for...

Re: Latest marlin firmware for TAZ 5

I needed this firmware because I am using a #11 thernistor on my extuder and the stock (older) Taz firmware doesn't define 11. However, now my heatbed is reading about 5c low at ambient. I even tried using another #11 thermistor on the heat bed, changed the bed sensor to #11, reflashed, and it still...

Re: ABS Woes - Need Assistance (pics attached)

Delamination in ABS is mostly caused by too low of an extruder temperature. You can go pretty high with ABS. Even up to 260. The only downside is with some colors you can start to discolor or de-gloss them. An enclosure can help a little with delamination because an enclosure will lead to lower ther...

Re: Move Taz 5 bed over 1cm?

Edit: Sorry I posted that when I wasn't in front of my printer. Just slide the entire bottom perpendicular frame assembly to the right the distance you want.

Re: X-axis 12mm upgrade for Taz 5. No more Sag!

Here's a pick of the new bearing holders. ps That mess you see on one side of the double bearing holder was because it was a little loose on the bearings so I added a little goop glue to keep them in place. I was under-extruding when I printed it and didn't feel like printing it again. The STL is co...
