Re: How many hours do you have on your lulzbot taz X

This is a cool thread. Very interesting to compare usage and things we've all replaced/repaired over time. My experience is similar to the others. I bought my TAZ4 as a refurb from I-T-W.com in April of 2015, so i'm going on 15 months now. I have well over 3000 hours on it. But I now call it a TAZ5 ...

Re: Questions for building an enclosure

- Is it safe to have the filament spools on the inside of the enclosure? I've heard some things about this causing PLA to become brittle due to its low glass transition temperature, but I print in PETG, ABS, NinjaFlex and Nylon (never PLA), all of which have higher GT temps, so would it be safe to ...

Re: Dual Extruder Knocking normal?

Yes, these are the correct files. I printed all of these and built my own V2 Dual Extruder and have also assembled it with the v2 Flexystruder in the front which turns it into a V2 FlexyDually. It can be a bit tedious to take apart and reassemble but just give it a go. And be careful with the thermi...

Re: Dual Extruder Knocking normal?

What slicer are you using? It appears that the print is offset down into the bed. As in it's offset on the z-axis by a mm or 2. The setting in Cura that can do this is 'Cutoff object bottom (mm)' on the advance tab. It should be at zero otherwise. If your printing with Slic3r, the ini config file is...

Re: HOT BOX 3DP ENCLOSURE SYSTEM (For Taz)

Hi all. I made a modification to my box. I wanted to access the controller housing without taking the top of the box off so I enlarged the vent hole and designed a new vent (inspired by Jonathan) for the opening. Check it out at Thingiverse. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1484077

Re: Refurbished TAZ 5?

I bought a refurbed Taz 4, my best friend and brother each bought refurbed Minis and i've placed 5 or 6 different orders for parts over the past year and I strongly endorse Jamie and his staff. Wonderful to do business with him.

@john mc

I would stick with stepping up through individual sizes. You'll probably need no more than 3. Just try a hole on a spare piece of plexi first. It's really not a risky as you might think.

Re: Install your own PEI tutorial

ok. You guys have convinced me to redo it once again. And this time, i'm gonna record the process and compile a video. At least for some it will help to see the process. And I used the freezer trick as well btw. But it doesn't need to stay in the freezer anywhere near that long (overnight...). 15 mi...
