Re: Alternative source for the 5V Mini Blower

Thanks all. It does seem like a fair price. in the mean time, i'm trying alternate solutions at least for my self-assembled Flexystruder. See pics. STL attached.

Alternative source for the 5V Mini Blower

I hope this doesn't rub anyone at Lulzbot the wrong way because I love everything you guys do and stand for but i'm trying to find a less expensive alternative source to buy the 5V Mini Blower. It seems to be almost a one of a kind. I've found a couple of places that sell it and one maybe in a coupl...

Re: Cant get prints to correct size

Great thread Josh. I've had my Taz 5 since May 2015 and have struggled getting a firm handle on the extrusion rate as it relates to getting perfectly fitting printed objects as well. I also printed the same light saber you mentioned and it's one of the better prints i've done. You can see some pics ...

Re: Dual Extruder Advanced Usage

Ray, thanks so much for this post. I got the Flexydually for Christmas and for the life of me was struggling figuring out how to print a model JUST with ninjaflex (the front extruder). Surely Lulzbot isn't thinking that customers that want to print only in Ninjaflex, but that have a Flexydually, sho...

Re: HOT BOX 3DP ENCLOSURE SYSTEM (For Taz)

I searched but didn't see an answer to this. The basebrackets_3DPR (repaired).stl file is significantly scaled down when i open it in Cura. Does anyone know the correct scale i should increase it by to achieve the correct size?

Re: Having problems printing in Cura full settings

That sounds like you may not have setup the printer correctly in Cura first. Make sure under the 'Machine' menu that you see Lulzbot Mini printer configured and selected. If you don't see it there, click to setup a new machine and select the mini. Selecting the right printer alters all of the print ...

Frequent nozzle change (.35-.50) and Bed Leveling

I'm interested in other peoples experiences. I frequently change nozzle sizes between my .35 and .5 nozzle due to different types of models and resolution that I want to print at. For the longest time when I would switch my nozzle I wouldn't think about leveling the bed. I always thought of those as...

Re: 3D Printed Obi Wan Lightsaber.

The white stuff is salt that i packed into the low spots to act as a mask when spraying the silver. It protected the dark underneath from the silver. I used acrylic hobby paints (variety) and a $20 airbrush from Harbor Freight. Read online about airbrushing and just tried it out. I did spray one bas...
