3D Printed Obi Wan Lightsaber.

Here's a print I did inspired by the great work by Valcrow here. http://www.redicubricks.com/. Printing was a challenge in and of itself but the painting was a whole new ball of wax. Extremely fun and rewarding however. But unlike Valcrow's, this one was done on a Lulzbot Taz 5.

Re: TAZ 5 and 1.75mm Filament

I've been reading this thread intently since a week ago when i accidentally ordered a spool of 1.75 red from Amazon. (Gizmo Dorks) for those interested. I have a new (to me) TAZ4 that I got refurbished from ITWorks in Loveland. Ive had it just less than 3 months and love it however i'm a tinkerer an...

I used Goo Gone after scraping with a razor blade. The blade gets off more than you would think though.

Re: HIPS Cure Med Profile Issues

I print exclusively through Octoprint now and absolutely love it. Major convenience as well as cool factor. I have mind suspended between the two legs of the print surface with a case that I added legs to. I've also got Octoprint controlling a relay to turn on/off the LED lights I added around the f...

Re: Install your own PEI tutorial

Great tutorial. Thanks. I couple of question/comments. 1. I had been given the advice from a support call at Lulzbot to use the Freezer technique in order to get the PEI off of the existing bed. That worked like a charm for me. Put the bed in the freezer for ~15 mins and used a teflon blunt spatula ...

Re: HIPS temp suggestions

I have to agree with MMcGuire. I'm amazed you don't have any ill effects of running the hotend at 250. 10 above recommended seems like alot. Is there a reason you went so much higher than the recommended 240? I print at 230 on a TAZ4 and don't seem to have any issues.

Re: HIPS Cure Med Profile Issues

Hi Ninjanick. Regarding the adhesion problem, it looks like you have a PEI surface. Can I assume that you upgraded your TAZ 3 bed? I was experiencing a similar issue with my TAZ 4 which I also upgraded with PEI surface. I noticed that both the Lulzbot Mini as well as the TAZ 5 (both of which have PE...
