Re: Cura LulzBot Edition v19 Beta

Ya, we will have a branch of this created real-soon-now. It will be on code.alephobjects.com as "Cura2" and "CuraEngine2".

Re: NEMA 17 Motor Vibration Damper = Night and Day

I installed a vibration dampener on my Y motor and it is significantly better. Moons Motors sent us this particular dampener. R&D has tested some others in the past. We also have a lot of cork dampeners. The one we have from Ultibots, IIRC, requires the pulley to be removed. But the Moons ones have ...

Re: Mini - Marlin FW 1.1RC3

This is our internal Marlin branch 1.1RC* for Mini. It is untested and doesn't work yet, but it will someday. https://code.alephobjects.com/diffusion/MARLIN/browse/Gladiola/ Would be interesting to see what differences arise between your branch and this one. Have you noticed much of a difference in ...

Re: Ringing strong in X, low in Y direction

Re: I am guessing breathing these fumes all day no good??

Cool, thanks for uploading the document and checking the license.

I'll note that the paper says the one enclosed printer emitted *more* particles than when they took the cover off of it. So just a cover may not improve performance.

Re: Another anti Z wobble device

On the latest prototypes we are putting a thin ninjaflex disc that goes between the lead screw nut and printed part. It should be here, but I don't see it at the moment, idk. The drawing will likely appear:

Re: I am guessing breathing these fumes all day no good??

There are few studies about this at present. The key points are: * Have good ventilation, * Eastman Amphora based filaments, by design, emit less than ABS, PLA, etc. These include colorFabb_XT, n-gen, Chromastrand, and n-vent (?) from Taulman. * PLA is better than ABS. * HIPS and ABS are about the s...

Re: flextstruder price typo in the store?

FWIW, I've seen this pattern before. For example: HOW IS YOUR PRINTER SO CHEAP? This was the most common question we were asked at the New York MakerFaire in 2013. Our response was, and still is, "Why are other 3D printers so expensive?" The rapid growth in the 3D printer market has dramatically red...
