Re: Help. Taz 3 upgrade. I’m not good at this.

Post pictures of your hotend wiring , the extruder wire and the inside of the control box and I can tell you whats going on. Chances are the extra wire is the Taz 6 bed leveling wire, which you will not need. The error you are seeing probably means that you have the thermistor and the heater wires s...

Re: Printing question - Flat Surfaces

New flat surface question. If I print something like a cube the vertical surfaces are wavey, they show some offset in the x and or y direction. Is there an adjustment I can make to tighten this up. I'm running a mini 1.4 version, stock. Regards, Mike With your printer cold, move the nozzle out into...

Re: castable printing wax

Printing onto a cold bed with a waxed cardboard sheet as a substrate or butcher paper taped down seems to work for me. I do not believe we tried either of those in the past, thanks for the heads up! You're welcome! Printing onto a wax sheet also works if you can find them in the first place. Candle...

Re: castable printing wax

Anyone try printing with this from machinable wax We have done some experimenting with that material, and our largest issues was finding an effective reliable way to keep it adhered to the bed. If you find a way that works, please let us know! Printing onto a cold bed with a waxed cardboard sheet a...

Re: Old vs New enclosure for the Taz6

That's a very complex question with an answer of "it depends". There are a dozen variables specific to a given material. ABS is one of the more difficult ones to print and the one where most people start needing an enclosure but it is not an absolute requirement. Materials that shrink as they cool, ...

Re: Source for 0.35 mm nozzle Taz 5

You can use any standard e3dv6 nozzle safely with the taz hexagon and vice versa. The hexagon relies on the nozzle tightened to the heater block and will accept either style. You just need the threads long enough to fit into the block. Be aware that snapping the heat break will void your extruder wa...

Re: FlexyStruder gear not moving

Check that the setscrew in the edge of the small gear is still there and down and tight on the flat spot of the motor shaft. Then check that the connection is good.
