Re: A0-100 RAMPS cover

I suppose it would be easier to print with the flat part on the bed. The units are also off in the STL. i apperently had inventor set to english units, not metric, so it either needs scaled up or something. I've attached the flipped copy and the dwg ffile, renamed to .txt below. If a different cad f...

Re: A0-100 RAMPS cover

I had the base file set on English units, not MM, so the size is likely off too. I'll fix it tomorrow.

A0-100 RAMPS cover

There didn't appear to be a cover in existance for the AO-101 RAMPS case, and all that exposed wiring was making me nervous. So, here is my attempt at a Cover. I haven't had a chance to try and print this yet, my 3d skills are a bit rusty, and this is my first STL file creation, so please let me kno...

Re: Hello! The dreaded Newbie thread here, a couple of quest

I decided to go ahead and see if I can make a cover design to fit the AO-100 ramps base rather than printing the rambo box since I won't be upgrading to it for a while. Autodesk inventor has a neat STL to 3D object converter that works quite well, and I have a box design most of the way put together...

Did the Ao-101 use the same belt as the AO-100?

I've implemented the upgraded pulleys, but that got me to wondering. Your store shows this belt: http://www.lulzbot.com/?q=products/gt2-1164mm-6mm-belt as a "major upgrade to the T5 belt". So my question is, what kind of belts would an AO-100 have shipped with, and would those be upgrades? Thanks! Tim

Re: Hello! The dreaded Newbie thread here, a couple of quest

Hmm. I wonder if it would still mount to the side of an AO series printer then without major modification. Maybe I'll print the backplate out and see if I can make it line up. I also need to figure out what kind of connectors I want to standardize on for the wiring harness. If i'm going to put a qui...

Re: Hello! The dreaded Newbie thread here, a couple of quest

Discovered another bolt on piece. I've already determined that changing the nozzle of the extruder is a pain in the ass, so I went looking for a quick disconnect, thinking I was going to have to mill one. But someone came up with a quick fit carriage that fits the Ao-100 - A0-101 style bearings http...

Re: Hello! The dreaded Newbie thread here, a couple of quest

I made a discovery, the following X-axis belt tensioner is a direct bolt on fit for the x axis of the Ao-100 and Ao-101 belt, mounting on the existing belt clamp locations: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:135634/#instructions Be sure to drop in the m3 nuts when you are supposed to (like a certain p...

Re: y-belt slipping

I don't have a TAZ so this may not be any help, but I ran into the same type of offset with my AO-100, it ended up being one of the z axis couplers was loose, so the printer was not raising high enough on one side and was actually hitting the side of the part, which caused it to skip on the belt. Th...
