Re: 6600 members

That machine looked new out of the box. I can't imagine you've done it all since your x axis isn't parallel with the bed. A canted x axis also induces the z axis groaning you are hearing. I saw the article you posted and offered a solution to the problems you pointed out in the videos. I've seen and...

Re: 6600 members

I understand the frustration. Maybe this will help. The noise you are hearing on the Z movement isn't uncommon. Lightly lube your leadscrews with white lithium grease. Stop worrying about the printer and bed and X axis being level to the world. Set the bubble level to the side for a few minutes. Wha...

Re: 6600 members

The small twist you are seeing there is probably removed when you clamp the Y frame to the main machine frame. It looks like you have made 60 or 70 posts in over the last couple weeks about your experiences with the printer. If you could summarize the problems in one post, maybe we could help you so...

Re: TAZ 6 with e3d v6 - plenty of issues

Can you confirm you purchased a 3mm E3D nozzle? They sell a different version of the nozzle for different sizes of filament.

Have you tried clearing the nozzle orifice with a small drill bit or acupuncture needle or even swapping in a fresh nozzle?

Re: Cura says there's a new firmware but is an older one

You are pulling development firmware from devel.lulzbot.com. Cura is going to give you the latest released firmware.

Re: TAZ 5 with unusual problem. Need help

If you are printing PLA at low extrusion rates, you could be having some heat creep induced jams. Reducing retraction to the minimum necessary, increasing layer thickness or print speed to increase flow rate, cooling the room and adding larger hotend cooling fans are all things that can reduce the h...

Re: Lulzbot Mini requires huge maintenance

Please post a video that shows the start up routine and beginning of the first layer of a problematic print. You can type descriptions of the problems endlessly and may never convey what we need to know to help determine what the problem actually is. Also, if you have not tried a different brand of ...

Re: Taz 6 Aerostruder Blobs

This looks like massive over extrusion. Did you change the e-steps to match what the aerostruder needs?

Re: Dumpster Find

Looking at this post, viewtopic.php?t=3194, I would say that is a Taz 1 with some upgrades.

Re: Dumpster Find

I think Taz 1 was silver. I have an early Taz 2.1 and the unit you have there looks earlier that my 2.1 so, maybe that is a Taz 2.

Cool find. Looks like it should be pretty easy to get it running again.
