Re: Getting Started Issues

I am having similar problems with my Taz 2.1 bed level and extruder to bed gap. I don't think it is to quite the degree you illustrated in your video but it is there. I am also seeing quite a variance in extrusion thickness from the side of the build plate to the center when I run the bed leveling g...

Re: Lulzbot TAZ 3??

hmm my 2.1 shipped just last week. will there be an upgrade to the 24v heater because the heatbed on my 2.1 is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow like 15 minutes to get to 83 ABS temps :( You should talk to LulzBot if your 2.1 heatbed takes 15 minutes to get to temperature. Mine takes about 5 in a 70 d...

Re: Lulzbot TAZ 3??

Two months two weeks and three days between the announcement of the Taz 2 and Taz 3. One month one week and two days between starting shipment of Taz 2 units and announcement of Taz 3. I am in full support of the active development Lulzbot is doing on their printers. That development was a major inf...

Re: Taz 2.1 Y Axis Looseness

Thanks. I will give it a shot.

Is there any reason I shouldn't use a bearing, other than added noise?

Taz 2.1 Y Axis Looseness

I noticed my new Taz had some noticeable bed "wiggle" when the Y axis would change directions. I removed the bed to check it out and found this. Are any other users or LulzBot folks seeing this kind of clearance in the bushings? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtWOkn_jIO8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Re: Bed Flatness

That must be it. I rotated the glass 90 degrees with the same result.

Re: Bed Flatness

Thanks. I will flip the glass tonight and see what it does. I have a hump in the middle now based on the measurements so I don't think it would be the springs compressing. In that case, the carriage would be closer to the bed at the right and left extents and farther away in the middle. Like you sai...

Bed Flatness

How flat should I expect the glass bed of the Taz to be? I am seeing measurements of 0.010 inches higher in the middle of the glass compared to the edges. This is with the bed at 85C or at room temp. Would the X rails twist that much as the carriage moves across? 1118132006.jpg 1118132006a.jpg 11181...
