Re: Swaping Hotends

I only print with the aerostruder & dual v3 print head on my TAZ 6. The Esteps are now set up within the firmware, and no manual updates are required. the same is true for using these two print heads on the TAZ 5. Probably all the newer print heads really but I haven’t validated any others.

Re: Clicking in extrduer

What type of filament are you using? I too just experienced this on my TAZ 6 aerostruder .5 diameter nozzle while printing with PetG. A quick google search revealed the nozzle might be too close to the bed for the first layer. I haven’t re-checked the Z-offset to validate, but I’m suspecting that’s ...

Re: Heat Creep Dual V3 TAZ 5 question.

I doubt it’s the filament you’re using. Too many people experiencing the same problem, they’re not all using the same name brand filament. It’s the low melting temperature of Pla. You have a few options, buy a roll of PetG for about $15.99 on Amazon (I think the brand name is Overture) and print the...

Re: Lulzbot Taz 6 - Aerostruder Homing Issue

I assume you did select the aerostruder print head and didn’t leave it on the flexy dually?

Re: Getting ABS to stick to PEI Bed

Yes I’ve seen that before, almost like the bed is too hot in certain places, not an even heated bed. The following layers filled in and the print came out looking good. Seems especially true when printing with a small nozzle and large flat area. May be nothing to worry about, may be chasing a red he...

The situation really sucks! Sucks on both sides! Wish I could help but I have no knowledge about the pro. I hope they get you fixed up and take care of you, but it’s sounding doubtful. :|

Re: Taz 6 SD Card Reader Not Reading Files

The problem may be in the SD card reader/writer you’re using to write your .stl files. If you have access to another PC with an SD card reader/writer try that. A laptop’s SD card reader/writers seem more reliable then a desktop PC’s, IMO. The SD card reader/writer in my PC was so unreliable and frus...

Re: Luzbot TAZ 6 Print head/bed issues.

So what is your Z-offset set to? If it’s still skimming the bed then you need to raise it up a little more. To do it via the console window type 851 Z-1.45. Then type m500 to write the value to the non volatile memory(retains the new value when you shut the power off). It may be easier to use the LC...

Re: Wildly inconsistent extrusion at start of print

What is your Z-offset set to? The nozzle being too close to the bed can can cause your problem because of too much back pressure.
