Re: [Dual Extruder v3] Filament Stops Feeding, Ruins Print, Can't get out Easily

I can confirm that the 1.5 to 2 hour mark is about the time my PLA prints would fail on the Dual Extruder v3. I doubt turning up your speed from 40mm/s will make any real difference, I use the default profile's speed setting of 60mm/s and still experience failures around the same time you do. Both e...

Re: E3D-v6 changing filament is an issue

If you pull it out when its hot and melted there's a good chance the filament will cling to the components in its path like hot gum on the ground. Then that filament will cool and cause blockage with no good way to warm it up and soften it. Not a literal cold pull at room temp but rather a warm cold...

Re: [Dual Extruder v3] Filament Stops Feeding, Ruins Print, Can't get out Easily

Very possible! Definitely with PLA. The picture you uploaded looks like nGen filament correct? How long into the print? What's your printing speed? Are you printing with a 2nd filament in the other extruder? If not I suggest getting the Aerostruder print head with a silicone soc for single filament ...

Re: Cura 3.6.13 consistent print failure due to E-

You say TWICE but you don't show all the detail. Here's more of the section that you left out: T0 ; select this extruder first M82 ; set extruder to absolute mode G92 E0 ; set extruder to zero G1 E-15 F100 ; suck up XXmm of filament T1 ; switch extruders M82 ; set extruder to absolute mode G92 E0 ; ...

Re: How to replace aerostruder Thermister

1.) A soldering iron can melt the point where the plastic is on the heater block and then use some tool to transfer the melted plastic too. 2.) You can heat up the tool’s point(screw driver or hex key), then insert it through the plastic and unscrew. 3.) replace the heater block along with the therm...

Re: E3D-v6 changing filament is an issue

You need to extrude 10mm or so at the printing temperature then drop it about 20 C (from the lower temp of the filament’s printing temperature range) and then cold pull out the filament.

Re: Lulzbot TAZ 6 power failure

Yes, you blew a fuse. NEVER clean your nozzle with the power on. At least with nothing conductive. Heat it up, turn it off then clean it. You’ll need this as the replacement. https://www.lulzbot.com/store/parts/5-amp-nano-polyfuse-x3. This post fits your scenario and has a little bit information abo...

Re: How fast does PLA absorb moisture

When I switch from PetG back to PLA I load it at 230C and extrude it until PLA comes out, (usually liquified). Perhaps you still have some PetG still in there? I would also suggest doing that and cool it down to 160c then retracting it. 60mm seems to be a good number for this. Thinking this action t...

Re: Taz 6 Fillament real holder problems

Ok, I was actually able to duplicate this by unwinding a spool with about 1/4 of the filament left. What a mess when it’s off the spool! To put It back on the spool I had to rotate, flip and spin the spool in multiple directions, whatever it took to get it back on. As I print with it now it’s coming...

Re: Taz 6 Fillament real holder problems

I’m assuming the spool just sits on that triangular shaped structure, if so, why can’t you just lift it up and turn the entire spool left or right and rotate the filament back on the roll until it lines up correctly like thread on a spool? It looks to me as if you had the spool on the Lulzbot provid...
