Re: BETA: Cura LulzBot Edition v20 and Marlin v1.1.x for Mini

Definitely wait for Nick's response, but FYI if you open the control window in Cura and in the lower-wight corner type "M501" then press enter you should get something back like the code window below. Notice the M92 line towards the top shows you your current E-steps setting that is in your Mini's f...

Great, glad you were able to get something from it!
Coincidentally, I just printed a GoPro item I'm designing and am having the same thin wall gap problem now. Go figure!

Re: New to the TAZ 6 and Hairy Prints?

You should definitely notice a difference with the HIPS. I actually liked it the most in the beginning. Had a nice matte finish to it, very little strings. I only started to get frustrated with it (and ABS) when printing large, flat items or large, tall items, because of the warping. There are ways ...

Re: New to the TAZ 6 and Hairy Prints?

Not sure... I was actually really disappointed with my initial print on the TAZ 6. I actually found a calibration Rocktopus on the Lulzbot website that prints a really looooong skirt relatively slowly and is meant to be used at the factory for setting the machines z-offset. You can go into the Advan...

Re: New to the TAZ 6 and Hairy Prints?

I hate to jump right in with a contradiction to @nopick's suggestion but I would not change the z-offset back to -1.4 in your advanced settings. I had the exact same issue with my TAZ 6's first print. My z-offset was -1.350. Inter some testing I have now set it to -1.250 and my initial layer heights...

Re: Bites on filament

That's great! I thought about that when you mentioned it in your previous post but I could see the little teeth marks in the filament which made it look like you were getting a good bite. Is it just a really soft filament? Regardless, there's a jig you can download and print from Lulzbot that will h...

Re: Imprint from Bed on First layer

Yes, sorry, should have mentioned that. Same thing happened to me when I first got my mini and I think could be happening to you. I had done several prints just fine, before and after, no issues. What went wrong was a PLA brand I was using for a print oozed more than anything I had used previously. ...

Re: Imprint from Bed on First layer

@kcchen_00 is correct. The PEI needs a very light sanding to remove the pattern. Go to your local big box home improvement store and grab some 2000+ grit sandpaper. A very light sanding and you will get rid of that pattern in no time.

Re: Bites on filament

You say this starts happening some minutes into the print? You cancel, start over and then the same thing happens again? What if you bump the temp up? Next time this happens can you pull the filament and show what the end of it looks like? The end that was in the nozzle? Something is causing the fil...
