Re: Cura 3.2.21 profiles with Dual extruder printing

Still can't get profile changes to dual extrusion prints to work reliably - Ninjaflex just go printed with 260C even though the recommended settings was chosen for it. That clocked the nozzle pretty bad. Tried ABS and Ninjaflex both recommended settings. And selecting standard 3mm profile for ninjaf...

Re: Simplify 3D support for TAZ6 w. flexydually V2

Let me know if you'd like to look at my Dual Extruder V2 start gcode files (for either or both CuraLE and S3D). Yearh, I would love to see that. I have had a go at it myself and learned a lot from it, but have not testet it yet. Tricky to choose skirt and ooze shield settings to achieve a wipe of b...

Re: Simplify 3D support for TAZ6 w. flexydually V2

Thanks, that would be great!

Is firmware version important apart from being downloaded with Cura? I downloaded with Cura 3.2.21 for TAZ6 flex dually V2.

So I start with a TAZ6 Dual fff and change the mentioned settings - setting up two processes, they should both get the start and end g-code?

Re: Cura 3.2.21 profiles with Dual extruder printing

I can see that other things change as well - A bit dangerous that if I change a custom temperature (final printing temperature) for material on extruder 1, then that setting was also adopted for the second extruder Ninjaflex - 245C is a lot for ninjaflex, oops!

Re: New Cura with old Mini?

I had a similar experience with my Mini and an earlier Cura LE 3 version, and I went back to Cura 21.08. At work I can't get a TAZ6 with flexy dually V2 to work with the latest Cura LE either, so I am looking into Simplify 3D but it does not seem to support the this toolhead out of the box. A standa...

Simplify 3D support for TAZ6 w. flexydually V2

(dual posting on S3D community)

Needing a slicer that works with our TAZ6 and not having the time to wait for Cura LE 3 to stabilise, we bought a licensense for S3D but the flexy dually V2 tool head does not seem to be supported out of the box?

Re: Cura 3.2.21 profiles with Dual extruder printing

Thanks, makes sense. I wonder if layer hight is the only thing changed or what other parameters are changed.

Re: Cura LE 3.2.21 profiles with Dual extruder printing - Prime tower

Toolhead is flexydually V2. I selected ABS for extruder 1 and ninjaflex for extruder 2. Then for extruder 1 I choose custom, dual extrusion, enable prime tower and see the Prime Tower Y position is 267.5289. Then I do the same for extruder 2 and see the Prime Tower Y position is 268.4 with more digi...

Cura LE 3.2.21 profiles with Dual extruder printing - Prime tower

Hi,

Choosing ABS and Ninjaflex and enabling prime towers the prime tower y position is different by about a mm. Same with other materials.

I have years of experience 3D printing but not with dual extrusion, and I am wondering if there is a reason for it or it is just not fixed yet?

Re: Cura 3.2.21 is unusable

I see 10s including re-slicing when changing material on a MacBook Core M7 8GB ram. I guess it *can* be used, but we have unexpectedly used weeks on a flexy dually V2 setup for our Taz6, where none of the suggested steps really worked, from calibration, to test print to slicer profile handling and s...
