Re: Extrusion delay - TAZ 6

This was discussed here: https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=5976 I've had the best luck with changing my starting gcode, here is my text from that thread: "I started having the same issue with my TAZ6 so I just tweaked the starting code a tad at the end. I replaced: G1 Z2 E0 F75 ; extrud...

Re: Step-by-step instruction on building my own TAZ 6

You are right... the BOM is a great resource. I guess to start I need to find European sources for all of the parts. I can group them according to source and go from there. Thanks, your advice is very useful. I don't think you'll have too much trouble with most of it. I can only speak on the tool h...

Re: Step-by-step instruction on building my own TAZ 6

Hi ... /Mike Hiya Mike, I have done lots of hunting for files and such to build some extra toolheads for my TAZ 6 in https://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/Olive/ The BOM is especially useful as it will give you exact suppliers and part numbers, along with AO's actual costs if you are curious what you are i...

Re: Printing Miniatures

Thought I would post my CURA profile I've been using here, this is for Polylite PLA with a .3mm nozzle on a stock TAZ 6 print head. Supports are on by default and so far these supports have worked for just about anything i've thrown at it, though for some really tricky prints I drop the FR on the pr...

Re: How many TAZ can I run on a 15 Amp breaker?

According to the specs for the TAZ 6:

Average Current Draw: 5.3 Amps (US), 2.65 Amps (EU)

Also, I'm not an electrician but running a circuit at or near capacity for an extended period of time would concern me, unless I absolutely knew it was properly wired.

Re: Enclosure Question - Attach to Taz?

I've found one on these forums from a google search that I really like where he tied the enclosure to the TAZ frame, but left the control box outside. It's my eventual goal to build one similar to this myself:

Re: Strange bulge on lower layers.

I'm wondering if your z-offset isn't dialed in well, leaving you with extra plastic on a bunch of layers until it finally gets even enough for the next layers to print smoothly. I've been printing with the same first layer height as the rest of my model and 100% line width to reduce the "feet" on my...

Re: Mini struggling with small detail circles

Thanks Jim, The idea of printing a second option is one I hadn't considered. I kind of came to the conclusion that maybe my extruder is simply to large for this kind of detail, but given that this remains a learning process, I will definitely give your suggestions a try. I appreciate you taking the...

Re: Converting 2 Single Extruder v2's to a Dualstruder

Biggest hurdle is the aluminum mount and heatbreak they use in the dualstruders. itworks3d has them sometimes, but you'll spend $70 on those alone: https://itworks3d.com/product/dual-extruder-v2-pp-mp0087-hex-dual-mount-plate/ https://itworks3d.com/product/dual-extruder-v2-pp-mp0086-hex-dual-lower-b...

Re: Taz 6 Layer Shift

Hello, Did anyone else experienced layer shift on their Taz 6? Whatever I did I seemed to get layers shift after ~30 min. As I have seen this before from my mini, it indicated stepper driver overheating. I installed heatsink on X and Y axis and left Z alone since it already has one. I recommend add...
