Trouble with X homing..

Hi, Trying to use the Taz 6 without an extruder attached for another application and I've lost the X homing behavior entirely. Basically, when you send the X home command it hits the limit switch and then locks the X axis - no commands will move it. The Y axis works fine. Reboot and re-attach an ext...

X Axis homing issue...

Hi, I'm using my Taz 6 to hold a laser for engraving and light cutting - I designed a custom mount for the laser using the standard Taz 6 design. When I put my mount on (no extruder plugged in) the z and y axes home but the x just runs into the switch and stops - i.e. doesn't bump off as usual. This...

Saving G29....

Hi,

Instead of running the G29 sequence before every single print in a session, is there a way to save it to EEPROM and only run it when necessary? I know G28 blows away the saved values - just trying to streamline my printing a bit...

Please help with e3d V6 temp issue....ugg

hi - installed a new e3d V6/Titan mod on my Taz 6 and I can't get the temp to remain at it's setpoint - consistently about 10° below set point and fluctuating - done too many PID's to count - sock on sock off, etc etc - even tried changing out the thermistor and heating element - same issue. I belie...

Re: Changing tool heads & Simplify 3D...

Lulzbot clearly states that you need to flash the firmware when changing toolheads. It is more than a simple step change as well next time you flash the firmware after changing toolheads watch the TAZ display and you will notice it is different. For example the MOARstruder firmware actually states ...

Re: Changing tool heads & Simplify 3D...

Bump, Still trying to figure out when/if it's necessary to flash new firmware when changing heads - are the different firmware(s) specific to the different heads or are they all the same with just some variable(s) changed? I have the Taz 6 and the V2 extruder it came with, the Flexystruder V2 and th...

Re: Changing tool heads & Simplify 3D...

So I had flashed the changes for the Flexystruder using Cura and had been running it fine with S3D - then I went back to the Single V2 (Tax 6) and during the first part of the leveling sequence it crashed the nozzle into the spring loaded stop - I'm guessing the nozzle positions aren't the same? I w...

Changing tool heads & Simplify 3D...

Hi, Just wondering what I need to do other than change the esteps on the Tax 6 when using S3d when changing tool heads? Are the Flexystruder V2, Tax 6 Single V2, and MOARStruder the same as far as firmware is concerned? Or do I need to flash the firmware with Cura for every toolhead? Thanks!!! -john

Re: Flexystruder v2 mount .stl

Ok, what Taz are you trying to fit the flexystruder to? If this is a Taz 3 or a Taz 4, the mounting notch is the same, but the mount height is different than a 5 or a 6. The main difference has to do with where the extruder actually sits height wise. What isn't working with the stock one? Can you p...
