Re: Cura 3.6 very slow

I had been using 2.6.69 for about a year or so with no issues. Spent a lot of time creating filament profiles and the like. Due to the changes in CuraEngine from 2.6 -> 3.6 the older profiles you have developed will no longer be compatible. The lag you are describing sounds like a profile conflict ...

Re: Can't Import 618 Nylon and other new profiles

Thanks for the link! The profiles located there are for Cura LE 21.08 and earlier versions, and will not be compatible with Cura LE 2.6 and newer. We will be sure to get that page updated. As for bed adhesion with nylons, we recommend using a PVA glue stick on the bed to help hold that down. Adding ...

Re: Can't Import 618 Nylon and other new profiles

Can you post a link to where you found the profiles? 618 was discontinued a little bit ago, and as such we have not developed new profiles for it. With changes to Cura Engine, some older profiles are no longer compatible. We would like to double check these profiles, and get up a notice if required....

Re: Cura LE w/ Mini 1 Problem

Any ideas on how to fix these issues? Crazy timing, I just answered this one on another post! Please see here: https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8962 (Regarding too close to bed) The bed slowly moves forward until reaches the end of its movement then comes back to home; happens 3 times...

Re: Need a smooth first layer / e-step and z offset woes

How are you handling your z-offset now? After updating your firmware, you will need to reset your Z offset to what it was previously using a M851 command in the console. If you did not jot it down, you can adjust it on the fly while your first layer is printing. After starting a print, open the con...

Re: Pinout for LCD and SD plugs

We are rewiring our taz 5, and we need to completely repin the LCD and SD card plugs, does anyone have the pinouts for those cables? You can find all source files for the TAZ 5 here: http://download.lulzbot.com/TAZ/5.0_0.5noz/ Specifically, I believe you will find the drawing you are looking for in...

Sorry, I meant what materials
Ahh no problem. We use ABS for all printed parts from Chroma Strand Labs: https://www.lulzbot.com/store/filament/ ... trand-labs (Black and LulzBot Green to be specific :D )

Re: Slots & Striations On Taz 6 Parts

Why are those grooves there? My suspicion is to make the part easier to get off the build plate. My friend thinks its to help prevent warping. Any ideas? You are spot on with both accounts. Large flat surfaces areas are harder to get off the plate, and those large flat surfaces lead to uneven cooli...

Printing onto a cold bed with a waxed cardboard sheet as a substrate or butcher paper taped down seems to work for me.
I do not believe we tried either of those in the past, thanks for the heads up!

Anyone try printing with this from machinable wax
We have done some experimenting with that material, and our largest issues was finding an effective reliable way to keep it adhered to the bed. If you find a way that works, please let us know!
