Re: Taz 5, Aerostruder 1.75mm tool head, no filaments showing up in Cura

Where are we supposed to get Lulzbot-perfect .fdm_material files for 1.75mm filament? As we design the printers for 3mm filament, and use 3mm filament internally, we will not have a "LulzBot-Perfect" 1.75mm profile available for a direct download. However you make a good point, and the process of u...

Re: Filament for casting?

PolyCast is a great option, we are looking to have it available in the next week or two. We already have profiles included in Cura 3.6.3 and have had great results with burn out.

You can see their video about the material here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4--fiBGMIpc

Re: TAZ 6 print size

One other item to be sure of is to either disable skirt, or bring it very close to your object. The skirt prints the line around the outside of your object at first, but it does take up part of the build volume. When going to the extremes, you will want to turn this off under build plate adhesion.

Re: Taz 2 evolved to 4

If you take your heated bed off and flip it over, it will say 24v if it is indeed a 24v system. As your PSU is 12v, I would suspect that has not been upgraded.

Re: New Aerostruder Micro tool head?

and the extruder skipping We have been chasing this one down the past couple of weeks, and we found we had an improper motor current called out on the extruder in the firmware. We now have marlin 1.1.9.34 available in Cura LE 3.6.3. From our testing this modified current fixed up the skipping issue...

Re: Firmware flash bricked my Mini?

Sticking it out a bit more in the Y direction would enable it hopefully to hit what it needs to hit more easily. Would you agree with that thinking? Sounds right to me, but a little digging found this forum post on the Mini Y axis: https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?t=2689 If the repositioning...

Re: Crazy question - Mini 2 Bed on Mini 1?

So theoretically, the Y rails could be lengthened on a Mini to accommodate a longer bed, with firmware and software tweaking, perhaps? Well, you might not even need longer rails. What you will need to do is allow a greater range movement of the center of the nozzle in the X direction. This can be d...

Re: Crazy question - Mini 2 Bed on Mini 1?

Isn't the Mini 2 bed 20% larger than the Mini 1 bed? Ahh, the 152 x 152 x 158 of the Mini 1 compared to the 160 x 160 x 180 of the Mini 2. The additional volume came from the redesign of the X carriage. We were able to compress the distance between the rods in the Z direction to get the extra 20mm ...
