Re: Calibration Cube Taz6

The easiest way is going to be with Cura. Use the scale option and un-check Uniform Scaling. Then do some cross multiplying to find our desired X Y and Y percentages values. In this case with your measurements that comes out to: X 100.50% Y 99.26% Z 101.01% You'll take your desired value (20) and mu...

Re: Taz 5 / Flexydually Ninja Semiflex

NinjaTek on their website recommends an extruder temperature: 225°C – 235°C for their filaments. Since you're having jams at 225-230 an adjustment of 5-10 degrees should be fine. To clean filament off of the nozzle/hotend heat up the hot end to the extrusion temperature for the filament you are usin...

Re: Flexible filament for SL tool head on Mini 1

The SL has profiles set up for NinjaFlex so that would be the easiest flexible material to start with on that tool-head

Re: Archive of firmware?

The earliest .hex version of firmware I could find for the Taz 5 is located below:

Be aware that the older versions of firmware are likely not 100% compatible with newer versions of Cura

Re: Z-axis offset woes

It sounds like you just need to adjust that a little bit more.

Is there still room to move the thumbscrew clockwise?

You may also want to start from scratch and re-level the bed completely:

Re: Taz 5 / Flexydually Ninja Semiflex

For a FlexyStruder I've included below the procedure for cleaning out the inside of the nozzle, or cold-pulls as they are called. Cold pulls: If the filament measures close to 2.85mm, then you can feed it back into the tool head, while the hot end is at operating temperature. Then let the filament s...

Re: Z-axis offset woes

The Taz 5 doesn't have any software offsets for you to adjust.

You need to adjust the the Z end-stop trigger adjustment thumbscrew.

Re: Taz 5 / Flexydually Ninja Semiflex

Since this is happening more with multiple models on the bed it's possible this is related to retractions also. Especially when printing smaller parts there are going to be more retractions in a smaller time-frame. Have you adjusted any retraction settings, what are they set to now? Since you're hav...

Re: Taz 5 / Flexydually Ninja Semiflex

What version of Cura are you using and which profile do you have selected?

It almost sounds like you are printing too fast. Ninjaflex doesn't usually do well if you you are trying to print it at the same speed as say PLA or ABS.
