Can you give me some clearer explanations please, because I'm new to the forum!
Since you are new, I'll forgive you this time. Please try to ask specific questions with as much detail as possible. The better your questions, the better the answers.

Re: Taz 3 noise and smell considerations

Smell (or better, toxic fumes and nano particle emissions) are mostly a function of the filament material. Of the two most popular filaments, PLA and ABS, PLA is relatively fume and particle free while ABS does have some of both. Use in a well ventilated area is a good idea with PLA and recommended ...

Re: I think I fried my Taz 6 -- help!

I've protected myself from these potential shorts by adding some high temperature silicone (Permatex Red RTV High Temp Gasket Maker #81160) to the wires as they enter the heater block.

Re: TAZ PRO

When I wanted to use S3D with my TAZ 6 Dual Extruder V3 I had to add it as a custom printer. This involved creating a profile including (modified) start code and end code. For the TAZ 6, CuraLE generates G-Code that has the offset for the second nozzle (or the offsets for both nozzles) handled withi...

Re: Recommended method for changing filament mid print?

Yes, you can change the filament mid print using Cura. This is accomplished by using a PostProcessing plugin script. These scripts can be accessed from the Extensions menu, Post Processing, Modify G-Code. These scripts are located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\cura-lulzbot 3.6\plugins\PostProcessingPlu...

Re: Modify the leveling procedure to take two measurements and choose the higher of the two.

Most of the code that does this is located in the firmware of the printer. To change it, you will have to create the Arduino build environment and then modify the firmware for your printer. There are thousands of printers out there with some form of auto bed leveling and the existing code works pret...

Backlash Compensation on TAZ 6 and/or Mini

I read the article about the backlash compensation on the new TAZ Pro and TAZ Workhorse and that got me thinking. The current version of firmware on the TAZ 6 has backlash compensation on Z and it looks like the additional piece needed to do X and Y is fairly simple. Would it be possible to add X an...

Re: Think the dual material extruder from the enterprise models will be available for TAZ 6?

Is the Dual Extruder v3 really okay for doing multi color? I was told that it's really only meant for mixing a soluble support material with another. I almost wish this were a true statement :( In my experience, the Dual Extruder V3 is much better at multi-color than it is at soluble supports. My s...
