Re: Filament sticking to nozzle on first layer

I've tried this and actually had the most success adding about 5-10 lines of brim, even with large bases that would be very unlikely to come off. Unfortunately I found with the skirt that even if it sticks down, when it moves to the actual part it often does the thing where the loose end sticks to ...

Re: Co-existance with released version

Despite instruction to the contrary, on Windows it does not appear to be necessary to uninstall CuraLE 2.6.69. Both versions (release and alpha) co-exist nicely.

Co-existance with released version

I think its a shame that you can't have CuraLE 2.6.69 and CuraLE 3.2.11 Alpha both installed at the same time. Is the final release of CuraLE 3.2 intended to be installed in a folder with 2.6 in it's name?

A friend from another forum suggested just modifying the G29 in the start script.
G29 V3 B287 R287
Based on http://marlinfw.org/meta/gcode/, I'm not sure what that G29 is doing (OK, I understand V3 is verbosity).

Re: Autolevel sequence taps screw on Taz 6

You will need either the Arduino IDE or Microsoft's Visual Studio Community with the Arduino for Visual Studio. I use both. Next you will need GIT for Windows. Last you need to clone the LulzBot GIT Marlin repository. Start at https://code.alephobjects.com/diffusion/MARLIN/ . I would send an email t...

Re: Filament sticking to nozzle on first layer

Keeping the bed clean (I use 70% isopropyl alcohol) and the nozzle clean are crucial to getting good adhesion on the first layer. While Z-offset may need to be adjusted, there are other things (many of which have already been mentioned) to try. In Cura, Print Setup, change from Recommended to Custom...

Re: Cannot Adjust Z Offset After Installing Dual Extruder V3

I thought the v3 Dual Extruder didn't need to have it's Z offset set. "The Dual Extruder v3 does not require nozzle leveling or offset calibration" "Z-offset" is different than offset calibration. "Z-offset" refers to the correction of the distance between both nozzles and the bed when Z is set to ...

Re: V3 dual purge sequence on E2 not purging material

The reason why E2 (T1) doesn't purge is because Marlin does not maintain current E for each extruder, only a global E value. At the beginning of the Start Gcode, T0 and T1 are set to 0 (G92 E0) and then retracted -15 (G1 E-15 F100). (Global E is -15) After "M117 Purging...", T0 is moved to E0, set t...

Re: Ninjaflex on TAZ6 with Aerostruder

I had similar issues with the Aerostruder and cooling. I put a sock in it, err, ON it. Now it is (nearly) rock solid at any height. After reading multiple times about air flow effecting the thermistor I started thinking "what about using a sock?". Then I find this thread! One question, where did yo...

Re: Lulzbot and Marlin firmware

Cura LulzBot Edition is optimized for printing on LulzBot 3D printers. It is derived from Cura, which is developed by Ultimaker B.V. in cooperation with the community (copied from About Cura). While CuraLE does have some support for non-LulzBot printers, you might have better luck with the Ultimaker ...
