Re: Aerostruder Z-offset

I didn't have to adjust my z-offset when upgrading to the aerostruder, however if you are having problems with the first layer, here is a picture showing what a good first layer line should look like.

Re: Polysmooth Profile

Here are the steps for creating a custom material/profile in Cura LE. I don't have much advice on testing material, to create a profile for it, other than a note pad with notes about what seems to work and what seems to produce bad prints, also try not to make to many changes at once, otherwise you ...

Re: Aerosteuder clogs oh my!

One way that we use over here when we get a bad clog on an Aerostruder, is to disable the heat sink fan by placing an index card or something similar over the fan to prevent the airflow into the heat sink. Once you have the heat sink fan disabled you will then heat the hotend up to 220C for PLA or 2...

Re: 1st layer problems - enable retraction?

Try reconditioning your PEI sheet, and it should help with adhesion problems. The best way is to get a spray bottle and mix up 1 part alcohol and 9 parts water. Get some 1500 - 2000 grit sandpaper. Get a sanding block. Spray some of the 1:9 mixture on the bed (get it nice and wet. Just make sure tha...

Re: Filament stuck in extruder

For starters what toolhead are you using when this happens? It looks like heat creep, which PLA is known for. Heat creep is when the heat travels up the heat break from the nozzle and starts to soften the filament at the hobbed bolt, and once it starts to soften there, the hobbed bolt just chews int...

Re: Howto: Change Hexagon hotend nozzle

It sounds like you might have blown a fuse on the RAMBo board. Try swapping out the F2 and F3 fuses and see if the screen comes back to life, just make sure not to run it with the fuses swapped. If the screen does come back to life, we sell replacement fuses here:

Re: Lulzbot Mini startup/auto-level fail - around probe points

Has anything metallic or conductive been used to clean your nozzle? The z-min being triggered usually is a sign that the RAMBo board has been shocked, and the most common reason for this, is when someone uses something metallic to clean the nozzle and in turn shocked the board.

Re: PETG profile????

B-morgan is correct about what I was saying. You can adjust the layer height under the Custom slider in Cura LE, once you slide the slider from Recommended to Custom, you will see quite a few tabs appear. You will select the Quality tab, and that is where you can change the layer height. Smaller lay...
