Re: PETG profile????

I use the Inova 1800 profile for PETG and have been getting great results with a standard extruder on a Mini. I was having some pretty big failures when trying to print it in the 230C -235C range and also had some massive clogs happen. I was able to get a nice PETG print at 245C, however different m...

Re: ABS residue on printer bed - can't remove with acetone

Be very careful if you use acetone on a PEI sheet, it can eat through it. Next time you should try 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol, it works great for cleaning the PEI sheet, without having the risk of eating through it. You can even use the water/alcohol mixture with some 2000 grit sandpaper to wet...

Re: Is there a way to get specific PLA profiles?

If memory serves me correctly, I think I had good results using the Polylite PLA profile for MatterHackers PLA. You might have to make some minor adjustments, but it should get you a good starting point.

Re: Taz 6: THERMAL ERROR E1

This is triggered by the primary hotend dropping in temperature beyond a threshhold set in the firmware. It can be caused by a failing heater cartridge or excessive fan on the hotend, or in a worst case scenario, by the thermistor coming out of the toolhead during printing. You will want to take a r...

Re: Taz 5 Extruder Arm crooked

It sounds like you have some Z-binding going on and we have step by step direction located here that goes over leveling the x-axis. https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/leveli ... e-repairs/

This is for a Taz 6, however it will work for the Taz 5 as well as the Mini.

Re: Trouble again

The main thing that we see that causes the fuse to blow, is if something metallic or conductive comes into contact with the nozzle. It can create a short back to the RAMBo board and that fuse will usually blow, before taking out the RAMBo board itself.

Re: Aerostruder jam

One of the easiest ways we've found to clear a jam on the aerostruder is to put a sticky note or index card in front of the fan that attaches to the heat sink, to prevent the fan from pulling any air into the heatsink. Once you have done that you will want to warm up your hotend to extrusion tempera...

Re: Filament feed failure

Heat creep is when the heat from the hotend travels up the break. This causes the filament to soften near the hobbed bolt and makes it so the teeth on the hobbed bolt start chewing into the filament, rather than feeding it into the extruder. If you have a bite mark on the filament when you unload it...
