Re: When to replace the nozzle

Could you post some photos of the first layer during one of these failed prints? I'd love to but it never gets through even a few inches of the first layer before the head snags the first layer and drags it off the print bed. The result is always a globby mess of filament on the nozzle. Trust me, I...

Re: When to replace the nozzle

Hi, I couldn't find any information on what the lulzbot nozzle is made of or when to swap the nozzle on a taz 6 in the manual. My school's lab runs woodfill and metalfill filaments right now, potentially more exotic filaments in the future, and I'm not sure at what point these materials would wear ...

Re: Many print issues with moarstruder

I would start with those adjustments and see how things go before jumping into looking for other potential causes. In answer to your question I don't think this will relate to your E-Steps because your E-Steps control the overall extrusion of the toolhead and if this was off I would expect to see po...

Re: Many print issues with moarstruder

It seems like the print quality issues you are seeing may be related to the Z-Seam, the Z-Seam is essentially where each layer starts and ends. This start/end point can cause a slight visible mark particularly if they all coalesce in one area. I would try checking to see what your Z-Seam is set to c...

Re: Cura won't load any material profiles

To allow Cura to account for thinner 1.75mm filament the major change you will want to make will be the Filament Diameter which can be found in your Material settings. To find your Material Settings switch from Recommended to Custom then in the Material drop down find the setting labeled Filament Di...

Re: Taz5 won’t pre-heat

Could you give a bit more description of the printer behavior when ti starts printing? Even better would be a video of the printer starting a print. In general there is a limit in the firmware that should prevent the extruder gear from turning if the toolhead is cold. (Though the rest of the printer...

Re: Taz 6 - Electrical Short Repair

Unfortunately from your description this does sound like it will be an issue with the board itself. I have never seen the LCD screen go out instead of the RAMBo in a situation like this so it is very unlikely that the damage would be to your LCD screen. Here is a link to our assembly guide for the T...

Re: Looking for a Extruder Extension Adapter v2c to v2b

Sadly this isn't a part that we are still producing, but we do have a schematic for building this adapter as well as a bill of materials of all of the parts. Those should help you in the process of building an adapter. Wiring schematic: http://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/accessories/harness_adaptors/cable...
