Re: Home in Cura is not the same as home using GLCD

This doesn't sound like normal behavior, it honestly sounds pretty weird, would it be possible for you to take a video of this behavior and post it? My first thought is something software related, some sort of miscommunication between the software and the printer itself. Have you recently updated yo...

Re: Taz 6 Probing failed after Arduino Board change.

It's possible that your X-Axis might not be sitting level, this will cause recurrent probing fails because even though it looks like everything is behaving as it should your toolhead is never actually making contact with the washer and is instead hovering just above the nozzle. We have a guide that ...

Re: Surface Finish

Could you post some photos of the results of your print? Troubleshooting surface quality issues without a visual example can get tricky because of differences in terminology, getting a look at exactly what you are seeing really helps to clear that up.

Re: TAZ 5 Dual Extruder Nozzle Leveling

I'm sorry to hear that your hotends aren't level! Here's how to get that fixed up: First turn off the printer and disconnect from power. Then remove the front fan. Then using a 1.5MM allen, loosen the 2 set screws (vertical) that hold the shaft in the heat sink. Then with a metric ruler, measure the...

Re: When to replace the nozzle

It never hurts to do a reconditioning even with a new bed since they have to be handled to get packed so they can have grime and hand oil from that process. Since you have been cleaning the bed between prints that shouldn't be too big of a concern here. Even if they don't show a completed first laye...

Re: When to replace the nozzle

Could you post some photos of the first layer during one of these failed prints? I'd love to but it never gets through even a few inches of the first layer before the head snags the first layer and drags it off the print bed. The result is always a globby mess of filament on the nozzle. Trust me, I...

Re: When to replace the nozzle

Hi, I couldn't find any information on what the lulzbot nozzle is made of or when to swap the nozzle on a taz 6 in the manual. My school's lab runs woodfill and metalfill filaments right now, potentially more exotic filaments in the future, and I'm not sure at what point these materials would wear ...

Re: Many print issues with moarstruder

I would start with those adjustments and see how things go before jumping into looking for other potential causes. In answer to your question I don't think this will relate to your E-Steps because your E-Steps control the overall extrusion of the toolhead and if this was off I would expect to see po...

Re: Many print issues with moarstruder

It seems like the print quality issues you are seeing may be related to the Z-Seam, the Z-Seam is essentially where each layer starts and ends. This start/end point can cause a slight visible mark particularly if they all coalesce in one area. I would try checking to see what your Z-Seam is set to c...

Re: Cura won't load any material profiles

To allow Cura to account for thinner 1.75mm filament the major change you will want to make will be the Filament Diameter which can be found in your Material settings. To find your Material Settings switch from Recommended to Custom then in the Material drop down find the setting labeled Filament Di...
