Filament colours? What's available and where?

This question has probably been asked a million times, so I've been looking around and some of the links on this website no longer work (usually old outdated links). I wish to print out in several special unusual colours for several projects I have in mind- I have found some, but their expensive and...

Re: Vacuum sealed? Yes or No

Yeah I noticed when I ordered some ABS from amazon that the bags had been sliced to get them in to the box- so I put them in to a sealed lunch box with the bags that came with them- had no problems printing out. Although I thought PETG didn't absorb moisture? but saying that the ones I ordered the o...

Re: Cura 2.6.66 layers problem?

The only way of getting round this part as it stands is too ignore it and use other lego parts that do a similar thing- although I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to printing that one- a 13hour print. Actually your right there are a lot of errors in a lot of files I've found- too many for my ...

Re: Recommended additional equipment?

Yeah the knives seem like a good idea- although as you pointed out they do need to be much thinner on one side to get under the print, that brim removal tool is a good idea, not sure about the crimper? I don't do any electronics. And yes I know about switching off before cleaning the extruder with a...

Re: Translucent Filaments

When I bought my TAZ 6 it came with several different filaments- one is called High Performance HTPLA- never used it (don't use PLA) but its clear and if it came directly from Lulzbot with one of their printers, so it must work with a TAZ 6? Have no idea what it looks like when printed out- may be o...

Re: Recommended additional equipment?

I've looked at that set and its only available on Amazon.com not Amazon.uk- which in my part of the world makes better sense with import taxes etc, However I found that set would be quite helpful as some of my later prints are becoming more difficult to remove from the PEI. I'm sure I can find a sim...

Re: Cura 2.6.66 layers problem?

Found another piece that needed repairing- however the repair software can't do anything with this piece? I've tried several things but no luck- its looks wrong, but I can't verify it unless I actually print it out. And at 10hours 44 minutes at this scale that would quite a waste of time, money and ...

Re: Cura 2.6.66 layers problem?

oop's! I think I might have done exactly what you said not to do- I didn't get round to reading your last message, however the site does say one can opt out after the 30 day trial and still use the software with a free non-licenced version, bugger I wish I had read your message before I started a ne...

Recommended additional equipment?

Sorry if someone has already asked this question before: Are there any suggestions for recommended additional equipment that one might require to both look after their printer, filament and finished items? As I have recently entered the world of 3d printing, I have now been pointed in the direction ...
