Re: Dual V3 and Simply3D

Any progress or luck on this? I'm REALLY interested, trying to post and find these. My settings from trying last week caused significant crashing into the bed that left deep gouges before I could stop it. It probed just fine too! I have an FFF file that doesn't work, but I'm still trying! (It's atta...

Re: Dual Extruder V3 - why angle the filament channel?

I would suggest you look at your temp settings. There's a few massive flaws in the cura programming - the cold start can cause jamming issues if you don't let it warm up before starting extrusion. If you run your temps higher and wait longer to start, you'll see some improvement. Also, loop your fil...

Re: Dual V3 Head Not Ready for Prime Time

Ya, mine was the terminal connections. It sounds like you have a much different problem than the common mode failure that has affected several others (including me). That's either a plus or a minus for their QC depending on the viewpoint since it's a different failure. But obviously you know your ma...

Re: how to stop Taz 6 and mini from autoleveling?

Quite simple actually: check the program you're using for slicing. You could also remove it from the first couple lines of each gcode output. But if you're using simplify3d there's a tab for start and end gcode. Cura has it under machine settings. Settings, printer, manage settings, machine settings...

Re: Disable Dual Extrusion CURA 2.6.69

I hate the start block purge and retract stuff; I deleted pretty much all of mine because it's executing horrendously. It purges at a bad place, for no gain, then improperly retracts a ridiculous amount! I've deleted almost all of the section related to priming, purge, and retracting, opting instead...

Re: The "Introduce yourself" topic.

Hello all, I'll try to post more on this forum since I'm trying to get my new v3 head tuned just right and it's still got plenty of mistuning pains. I got my first 3d printer back in 2012 ish I think. Spent months getting it set up right even though it was supposed to work right out of the box! I wa...

Re: Problems printing with dual extruder

Can you phrase that at all differently? I'll be looking around too, but I just got the new v3 head. Did a simple thing like your's for my first try. Did onepart, then made another part in place, but floated it and matted the origin to each part. Cura didn't seem to like that so I've just been manual...

Re: Disable Dual Extrusion CURA 2.6.69

The way I found out over the weekend requires the printer to be connected by USB. I simply left it as dual extruders, picked one material to slice the whole thing in, and then set the 2nd extruder temp to 0 when I started printing. Alternatively, you can go to filament settings for your second extru...

Re: Extruder V3 Availbaility

If you haven't gone for one yet, it seems better than some of the old posts I was reading about it. I leapt into putting it together this last weekend and it went ok. The main issue now seems to be that there was faulty crimping causing a temp reading failure. I managed to pinch mine to workability ...

Re: Dual Extruder v3

Hopefully you have it fixed or replaced by now! I've torn up a thermistor in what sounds like the same way. I'd second the heat gun. Cheap ones at harbor freight and you focus the heat then back off, then come back and slowly make the block of plastic malleable again.
