I wish they would speak out, because I'm the only one doing it on the afore mentioned forums, and everytime no one believes me!

Re: TK-0 Plastic Not Sticking

Hairspray shouldn't be used on tape, but on bare glass. Hairspray is a neat experiment, but it doesn't work as well and actually shrinks the parts (!). I am puzzled by how many people keep recommending hairspray on the RepRap forums and on the 3D Printing Google+ community, and none of them ever rep...

Re: Lulzbot TAZ 3??

(Trying to find a local Laser CNC to cut acrylic for me! Surprisingly, I haven't had ANY luck finding someone with even a simple CNC machine...) Why not have those parts 3D printed like on the TAZ 1.0? The only reason they went with lasercut acrylic parts is because they can be produced faster. Lul...

Re: TAZ 2 beginning layer problems

To begin with, I took the settings from our AO-101 and tried that with awful results. You do know that the AO-101 comes with a 0.50mm nozzle installed by default, while on the TAZ it's a 0.35 nozzle? If your AO-101 wasn't set up with a 0.35 nozzle, then it's no wonder you got awful results with its...

Re: Heatbed won't reach proper temperature

I'm printing in a cold environment From another topic: The room that my printer is in sits at about 50F though 50ºF is ridiculously cold! (for anyone outside the USA, that's 10ºC) Rather than overtaxing the print bed (who knows what that might do in the long run), I think you should use an enclosur...

Re: Taz 2 nozzle temps over 240C

The E3D already comes with a cooling fan and a fan mount. Almost all comments I've read on the RepRap forums and the Google+ 3D Printing community are positive. The only drawback mentioned is that the fan is noisy.

Re: Taz 2 nozzle temps over 240C

I do see a 'prusanozzle' that is solid stainless steal. That looks interesting. The Prusa nozzle got mixed reviews on the RepRap forums. I have no direct feedback to offer but from what I've read, it is still very far from being out of the development stage, and not many people use it, so I would u...

Re: Taz 2.0 manufacturered parts?

It seems that TAZ 2.0 replaced several printed parts (frame connectors and Z-Top) with machined parts. Obviously this must have been done to increase stability of the printer. Why "obviously"? I rather think it was done to allow production scaling. Printing parts takes time and Lulzbot can't meet w...

Re: Bearing failure on Printer Head

According to the TAZ-BOM, it's a 608ZZ bearing, and there are 3 of them for the extruder. On on the idler, and two on the hobbed bolt. These bearing are pretty common, I think they're used in skateboards or roller skates.
