Re: What i want for xmas is...Auto bed leveling (KITTAZ)

I think this is "newb" concern that you'll quickly grow out of. We did the same thing with our TAZ4 when we got it. Serious concern about bed leveling to the point of near exhaustion. Now, the only time we check bed level is when we strip the old PET sheet off glass and replace it with a new sheet. ...

Re: edlink prints

edlink, New to 3d Printing (well almost), my TAZ 5 should be here Tuesday. I'm a designer/modelmaker and I've been using 3d printed parts for many years, but this is the first time that I'll actually own one. So is Pronterface/Slic3r a good place to start? Also, I noticed that you said you could pa...

Re: Calibration?

If you rotate the part 45 degrees and reprint it, will the misalignment in the circles follow the rotation?

There's been numerous posts here about misaligned circles. Almost all appear to have turned out to be belt/belt tightness related.

Are you using the Lulzbot provided profiles when using CURA?

Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

Makerbot Cement Mixer was a FAIL.

Part broke away from build plate and made a rather significant mess.

Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

There is a definitive "flare" where the part meets the build plate in the printed part which should not be there. This could easily be a "newb" setting thing on my part. I did not see where I could adjust the first layer height. Nozzle being close to build plate could be squooshing out the first lay...

Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

First prints completed. Some good stuff, and some not-so-good stuff. Layer to layer quality looks great. There are some noticeable gaps though in areas where Kisslicer "warned" me about with the colored lines. Not sure why these areas were and issue as Slic3r printed them with perfection. The little...

Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

Awesome. Before you answered I went ahead and saved the Kisslicer gcode for my spinning top and brought it into Pronterface. It's printing now. Results and pics to follow. Interesting startup routine. The nozzle lifted up a few inches from the "Pronterface home" and moved closer to the center of the...

Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

Are you printing from Kisslicer, or just creating the gcode and then using something like Pronterface to talk to printer?
