Re: Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

THANKS!!!

We have a TAZ4 with standard .35mm schnozzle. Printing ABS onto PET sheets with Lulzjuice.

I will download your .ini files first thing tomorrow and try a "test" print of something fun. :D

Kisslicer Help - calling mhackney

Been hearing a lot about Kisslicer, so I downloaded a copy. Obviously there's not much for TAZ printers in the default settings.

Hoping for some help with basic settings for printing ABS. A good place to start.

Thanks in advance

Re: edlink prints

I use Pronterface & Slic3r. On the Pronterface console there's a "pause" button. Click that pause button when the nozzle is somewhere in the infill sections. Quickly pull the old filament out, stuff the new filament in, click the same button which has now been renamed "resume", and cross fingers. Do...

Re: Slic3r is sullying my toolpath!

What version of Slic3r are you using? A beta version, or a stable version? I exclusively use Slic3r and I've never had an issue with it. Have you tried printing the part and seeing what happens? If you slice the part in Slic3r, then view the gcode slices in the Pronterface preview what does it show ...

Re: TAZ 5 Print HELP Not Printing

You may need to add some more details about what's going on. Pictures help too. What filament are you using? ABS? PLA? What software are you using? Slic3r & Pronterface? CURA? What profile are you using? Something direct from Lulzbot's page? What are you trying to print? Octopus? Pliers? A simple cu...

Re: edlink prints

Dancing Baby Groot - with material change. Unfortunately, the darn thing broke before it completed. I did however manage to do a material change during print. Relatively obvious where. ABS - TAZ4 - Slic3r & Pronterface - Lulzbot Medium no_support profile Super glued it together and almost perfect......

Re: Cura Estimated Print time way off?

I have found this to be the an issue in Slic3r & Pronterface as well.

I almost always double the "estimated time".

Should add that I have a TAZ4.

Re: Metal Shavings and Clogged Extruder

We had that exact same bearing self-destruct as well. Metal shavings were the tell-tale sign something wasn't right.

We have a local Lulzbot dealer who replaced them with a different bearing that appears to be far more robust.

Re: taz 4 help/suggestions

Totally missed the PLA and temp settings.

Lulzbot profiles suggest for PLA: Extruder: 180°C Heated Bed: 50°C
