I just got a dual extruder for my TAZ 5, and I’m still figuring out how to use it properly…
One issue I’m noticing occurs when using HIPS for support on an ABS print. Let’s say you have a model and the overhangs only need to be supported up to about half the height of the model. From then on, I only need the ABS filament, so I’d like to only use that nozzle, but the way Cura slices it, the ooze shield goes all the way up to the top of the model, so the nozzles keep switching every layer and making a mess, even though I only need the ABS.
Is there a way to say that I only want the ooze shield up to a certain layer? In Cura or otherwise.
