Finite Element Analysis for Lulzbot

Hi all-

Does anybody have experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA, FEM) of designs printed with the LulzBot TAZ?

I’ve played with the analasys modules built into Inventor and applied them to some of the imported STL files. I’m probably about the furthest thing from an expert you will find when it comes to that particular type of analasys though.

Problem is that with the near infinite combinations of infill (if you shift your model slightly in cura the infill positions change) it’s hard to do a FEA before printing that accurately reflects the physical model.
