# Hotend/Nozzle Shutdown

As soon as I try to set nozzle temp Mini2 shuts down. How to test temp sensor and heater element? Typical ohms rating for each?? Could be a connector/continuity issue??

What does the machine show for the temp before you try and set it?

If the screen boots to 0/0c, the thermistor isn’t being read. Most likely a broken wire on it.

If it reads 0/20(ish)c and reboots when you try and heat, it could be a few other things.

Back to this, Thanks  
Now, after turning on Mini2 it immediately starts heating with no command to do so.??  
(the thermistor is correctly reporting temp)

Is there an SD card inserted with some auto-startup GCODE in it?

If not, I’d try re-flashing the Mini2.
