I upgraded my TAZ5 to the new RAMBO 1.4, which came with new LCD cables that match the new connectors on the board. These cables are working, but they are still quite short. I removed the DB25 from the enclosure but can’t feed the cables through and mount the LCD.
I do some hobby electronics, but I’ve never done ribbon cables or connectors, so I think maybe it’s time to start? So two questions:
- Anyone have a recommendation for a crimper?
- What line of connectors should I use these days? The original on the TAZ5 (BRG71600-010LF) is discontinued.
