# Lulzbot Mini 2 Not Working (Not connecting, Black but lit up screen)

I just purchased a new Lulzbot Mini 2.

Nothing pops up on the graphic LCD Controller screen when it is turned on (as it should). However, the backlight lights up, but then it is just a black screen. When I try to print something off of CURA, it does not recognize the printer is connected.

I’m not sure if I need to just “reset” something or if it is completely broken. Anyone have suggestions?

That is odd. You might try connecting with Cura to see if the printer is running correctly without good lcd output or if the firmware isn’t loaded. Without firmware, the screen will light up without any text displayed.

With lulzbot short-handed and trying to come back online, they could have missed something.
