I just installed the new glass modular etched print bed heater from LulzBot but every time I try to print the nozzle seems like it is too far away from the bed itself so it messes up the print and I have to stop my print. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
You have to adjust the Z probe offset.
On the Taz 6, Mini 2 and Workhorse, you can do it during the first layer, just hold the button down and step it downward until it’s at the correct height. Clockwise raises, counterclockwise lowers.
But, the modular bed should sit at the same height relative to the washers, provided you have the correct bed pads on. The modular bed pads: LulzBot TAZ 6 Bed Corners | LulzBot 3D Printer
If you still have the standard bed pads installed, the washers won’t sit properly flush and snug, so they can be at improper heights above the bed, causing the Z offset to be very different, and inconsistent.
