I start my printer, the fans will start going but the screen will instantly change to saying;
Homing Failed
Printer Halted
Please Reset
I’m not sure what to do, I need this thing working ASAP

Sounds like an end stop is messed up. With the tool head in the middle of the bed, type [M119](https://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M119.html) and see if you have “Triggered” anywhere. If so, fix those and see if that solves the problem. I’m not sure if triggered is a short or a broken wire, but you’ll figure it out. Could also be a bad controller board but wiring is more likely.

Assuming the printer is connected to something via USB, you probably run a program on that something. Most of those programs have a monitor mode with a console button. This console displays output from the printer and has an input box. Type `M119` in that box.

If you provide some details on your configuration, we can provide a better set of instructions.

Thanks, for the info. Turns out my problem was a bad step motor. I’ve been cannibalizing my workshop printer to repair others and after swapping that it works great. Have a growing list of parts to replace on mine. 😜
