Restricting toolhead travel pattern in Cura

Is it possible to restrict where the toolhead travels in Cura Lulzbot?

My goal is to pause a print half-way, implant a small metal part, then continue printing. Trouble is, the metal part is taller on both ends than the level where it’s being inlaid, and I don’t want the nozzle to hit the metal part on either end.

Can I block off an area of the nozzle’s travel so it won’t hit the tallest metal bits?

Ok, so after a bit of research, it seems that CURA’s “combing” setting just might do the trick, given the geometry of this particular print. Will try in the morning.
