# Settings for using the ASA filament

Hi everyone,

I have a LulzBot TAZ 6 and I’m trying to print with ASA filament (1.75mm). Since this is my first experience with a 3D printer, I’m facing challenges with the printing process. I’ve been using the Cura program, but I’m unsure about the correct parameter values for this filament. I attempted to find the information on the manufacturer’s website, but came up empty-handed. Can anyone provide guidance or share their settings?

What version of Cura are you using? I ask because there’s an ASA profile for the 1.75mm toolhead right in CuraLE 3.6.40:

It may not be the brand you’re using, but will get you a start for tuning.

Hi, thank you for your help. However, I have the same version and it does not have ASA. I also installed the program again, but ASA ultimately is not in the library. Could you please share a screenshot of the parameters? I can add it manually. thank you

Do you have the M175v2 toolhead selected in Cura or a different 1.75mm toolhead?

@UKOBER which surface are you using magnetic does not surprise me but the PEI coated glass I am not sure about but would love to learn
