Taz workhorse+ homing error

Whenever I try to print anything the printer says homing failed: Printer haulted please restart. It’s a brand new Meteor 285 tool head. I also put in a filament sensor but it is currently not plugged in. I tried unplugging the toolhead and plugging it back in and that didn’t do anything. I have updated the firmware as well.

I tried uploading a video but don’t know how.

I have selected the correct toolhead as well. Here is the link to my video on youtube.

@b-morgan a workhorse+ is very similar to a regular workhorse I own both the main difference in the plus you will first notice is the toolhead & the magnetic bed

Congratulations on uploading a video. It looks like we are going to need help from a Workhorse+ expert.

(I deleted my test video as it isn’t needed)

Unfortunately, both Workhorses are different enough from my TAZ 6 that I’m not able to help with the homing error.

The X appears to be homing - tap and confirm against the button, but with the very short initial movement, I can’t be certain. With the machine off, can you pull the toolhead a little further to the right before powering on and homing?

Is the bed moving at all?

It also appears that you’re against the top of the Z already when starting homing, so you may need to manually lower the Z axis before homing.

Hold up I got a question did anything metal touch if so that could be why especially while cleaning off failed prints

Nothing metal touched it. It’s a brand new head.

Just wanted to check for metal also what is the date of manufacture of the toolhead sorry for the odd timing it was a coincidence

I tried pulling it further right but it does the same thing. The bed does not move at all either.

I can hear motors maybe a idler or something if not ask support

The X appears to be moving fine then.

Is the bed centered under the gantry, or fully forward when homing is attempted?

With the machine off, pull the gantry down a bit too. If it’s against the Z stop already, it can cause homing failures.
