I have a stock TAZ 6 which I usually use with PLA, but occasionally I need to use something that will not melt or get soft at temperatures found inside a car.

I have used Polymaker PC-Max up to now. But my stock is just about out and it appears to be no longer available.

So, what can I use that the lulzbot store has?

What settings should I use on the printer for this new filament?

I see that polymaker has PolyMax-PC but the description in the store says it needs a certain print head to be able to be used.

I also see an ASA version of the polylite. The store says nothing about a special head. Would this work for me? Again, with what settings?

BTW, I am using Cura version 3.6.20

What sort of “high-temp” are you talking about? PETG prints easy, just be sure you don’t print directly on glass.

But for higher-temp and from Lulzbot’s store, colorFabb has their co-polyester stuff. [colorFabb High Temp](https://buy.lulzbot.com/products/colorfabb-high-temp-filament?_pos=3&_fid=817c1328b&_ss=c)

Also, nylon blends: [Polymaker PolyMide CoPA](https://buy.lulzbot.com/products/polymaker-polymide-copa-filament?_pos=2&_fid=0226f9042&_ss=c)

Consider updating CuraLE, lulzbot is fairly good at keeping what’s in their store as profiles in their current slicer.

Well, I left it pretty a bit undefined on purpose.

I am looking for a pretty rigid material: about as rigid (high modulus of elasticity) as the PLA I usually print with.

It needs to not soften (the way the polylite PLA does) at 100c.. or at least be as good as possible.

The PC-Max material seems to do well on both counts.

I will look into the other materials you suggested as possibilities. My previous IMPRESSION of them was they they were not as high temp-capable and were less “rigid”. But I need real data on that, not an impression.

I am concerned about updating to the newest Cura LE because it will need to update the firmware and I am not sure I can go backward to the old one if it is not acceptable.

Firmware can be upgraded or downgraded at will. This is an open-source machine in every way.
