# why changing TAZ 6 extruder?

Hi.

Why people wants to change the TAZ 6 extruder by a E3D v6? Is that because of the heat creep caused by the PLA? Is that the reason or there is more than that?

The hexagon and the e3dv6 are very close to comparable in design. It is the opinion of some of us, myself included that the fluid plastic flow on the e3dv6 is a bit better, particularly on corners. The nozzles are interchangeable, so essentially a wash there, the e3dv6 has a bit more heat sink surface area, and more importantly a slightly tighter fillament path.
