Flexible shaft drive bondtech gear extruder anyone?

Post by piercet » Sat Mar 31, 2018 11:26 pm

My new toy:

The NovaPro Mk II Flex cable edition is a remote drive extruder using a 40:1 gear ratio main drive with a Bondtech gear 3:1 final drive. It will be driven by a gantry mounted NEMA 17 moons motor mounted up near the filament pivot. A dual extruder variant is in the works.

Neat, I'm looking forward to seeing the dual extruder version.

An open source zesty nimble with a complete build at home parts list once I'm done with an existant taz mount and bondtech gears.

Motor mount now exists. This one goes with my backbrace mod. There will be a dual motor mount variant and a conventional 90 degree mount once I get further along in testing.

next up, the motor end of the cable cover holder thing.
