Weird artifact around holes

Hi,

I noticed that when printing holes/cavities, I almost always get this kind of artifact (see picture below). It propagates for the whole length of the layers. I’m not even sure if it’s a hardware or software issue?

Also, this print was made using the PLA-fine lulzbot profile, but I feel that the print quality could be better … did anybody come up with an “ultimate” profile to get better results ?

(PS: My setup is AO-101, Budaschnozzle 2.0, 0.35 nozzle, PLA from filaments.ca)

I would bet a hardware issue, most likely the X and Y bushings. I am going to switch to Hardened steel Linear rods and Linear bearings soon and I’ll let you know if it fixes it on my Taz 5

Well it seems I’m the first one with this problem ???

Could it be a problem caused by the acceleration parameters ?

How does using a different slicing profile look in terms of that line around the holes? Try printing it again, with the Normal/Medium profile.

I still have the issue after the hardened rods and linear bearings. Its less pronounced but still there. Im using S3D to slice

I know it’s been a long time, but still have this problem using medium profile, even with ABS.

Kind of frustrating…
