I’ve been lurking here and soaking in everything I can about the TAZ 6 while waiting for a new extruder from customer service. Noticed posts saying that you can’t clean the hot end with anything metal due to the possibility of shorting the 24v heater voltage into the 5v bed leveling circuit.
Has anyone tried adding a simple overvoltage circuit to the 5v bed leveling circuit? Something like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowbar_(circuit)
Besides the obvious possibility of shorting it while cleaning I’m sure it would also be possible to have a short with enough wear and tear or with a wire getting snagged. I’d love to drop something like this in but wasn’t sure if it would interfere with the leveling circuit too much.
