fan kit for AO-101

Post by ic3wall » Tue Jan 20, 2015 1:54 pm

I would like to give PLA a try and read everywhere that a fan is required to produce decent parts. Is there a bolt-on kit for the AO-101 ?

will this fit ? ... add-on-kit

Do i need 12v or 24v ?

An ao 101 doesn't have a stock bolt on fan option, but you can add one easily enough. If you have the Rambo board it should have some sort of fan header. That will be 12v. You can use the second extruder head on a ramps controller if you have an upgraded ao 100. Mounting the fan there are options on thingiverse. You can also check out my projects in the development forum to add a taz x axis to an ao 101 printer
