Installing Budaschnozzle 2.0 on AO-101

Hi,

I’ve just recently removed the original nozzle that came with the AO-101 and put the Budaschnozzle 2.0 on it. I open PrintRun, connected to the printer and my heater temperature says 509 degrees. I’ve already reconnected the thermistor wires back into the circuit so I’m not sure what is going on or what I need to do to fix it.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Chris

When you installed the Buda2, did you swap the wiring over?

They changed the way the connector is wired for the Buda2:

For users upgrading a LulzBot AO-101 you will need to replace the entire wire harness for the connections have changed. Use the included wiring harness and connect the red wire pair to the hot end connection and the orange wire pair to the thermistor connection.

I have the Buda2 working well on my AO-101

Antony

Could you elaborate on ‘swapping the wiring over?’

Thanks

Nevermind, I took off the housing and I see what you’re saying now.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Chris,

I recently made the same Budaschnozzle change on my AO-101 as well and had the same issue, the 509 degree display and no heating of the nozzle or base plate. Using a simple paper clip, I re-pinned the connector and swapped the red & orange leads accordingly. Printer is working now.

Cheers!
Nick

Hi NIck
You didn’t have to changed any wiring on the RAMBo board
