Cura LulzBot Edition, Mac OS X (10.11)

Changes made in OS X El Capitan (10.11) have resulted in the loss of some serial port functionality. This change can potentially cause Cura LulzBot Edition to fail to connect to your LulzBot 3D printer. This appears to occur with both clean installs of Cura LulzBot Edition and existing users that upgrade from previous versions of Mac OS X. If you have not upgraded to OS X 10.11, you are not affected. Hold off on upgrading your operating system until a fix is developed. We are working on a fix for affected users.

Thanks for attending to this!

I didn’t get the memo in time and updated to OS X El Capitan (10.11) some time ago.

Maybe because I didn’t know, I haven’t experienced major connection difficulties. I have recently been using Cura 18.03 on MacOS 10.11.3 (as of 2 days ago, 10.11.4) with my TAZ2. What I see, mostly: Initial connection usually works. Sometimes after disconnecting, re-connecting takes more than one try. Annoying, and I hope your s/w wizards can improve, but not serious.

TIA

Glad to hear that you’re able to connect!
