Today's News

First, to all those impacted by the cuts today, my sincere condolences. Being on either side (and I’ve had both) simply sucks. We appreciate all your help and creativity over the years, and wish you the best going forward.

I do have one question though, and it seems related to this situation. Parts have been scarce for a while (e.g. SL tool head adapter, modular glass bed). Do you have any information on if we’ll see restocking soon, or will it be after the ownership change is resolved? Trying to plan ahead for some projects.

I’m sorry to hear today that Lulzbot is having to scale back operations!

Lulbot’s technical assistance is second to none. They are open 7 days / week and always willing to help solve a problem.

It’s ironic that 3d printing was supposed to help bring manufacturing back to America one day, but now the Chinese are making cheap 3d printers which is negatively impacting America’s 3d printer manufacturers.

I hope Aleph Objects finds a buyer for its Lulzbot line of printers that keeps the company and its employees going.

Something does not really seems right. Just a few months ago aleph objects announced the opening of a new office in Europe. Today’s news seems as if the company is in such financial trouble they have to sell to stay open. But a company does not usually get in such bad shape in just a few months. Moving all operations to Europe makes more sense, but why say you are trying to sell unless maybe you trying to shut it down here and get out of some legal contracts while picking it back up in Europe.

If not, this company is not only mis-managed but severally mis-managed.

Indeed, condolences and best wishes to all. It’s a rough and sad situation.

Given that Aleph Objects is working to liquidate existing inventory before ceasing operations October 31, restocking unfortunately seems unlikely, unless maybe a buyer for the company is found.

Some vendors in the community such as IT-Works 3D stock various parts. My company Libiquity plans to sell wiper pads and possibly modular glass/PEI surfaces and other parts.
