My 40 mm fan is starting to sound as if it is losing a bearing. Lulzbot store is out of stock for the Taz 6 fan, and doesn’t show a Taz 5 fan. and I want to get one asap before it dies completely. The store shows the fan for the Taz 6 is not available. Is this the same as for the 5?

Hello Pete,
The 40mm fan on the side of the hot end are 24volt fans. The fan on the heat sink of the hot end (front middle) is a 5 volt low flow 40mm fan.
