Weird Taz 6 z-probing behavior in 1.1.9+

Just curious if anyone is having this issue with firmware 1.1.9+. After updating to 1.1.91.13 (coming from 1.1.8.62) I’ve noticed that z prob after nozzle wipe will always fail if auto level had been successful prior to having this problem.

If I just turn on the printer and start a print, auto level Z prob always works perfectly and I’d have no problem printing. However if I either start another print after prior print finished, or if I start a new print after cancelling the previous print (after prior auto level prob was successful), the z-prob on the first washer after wiping nozzle will always travel in the wrong direction and lift the print head after it’s in position instead of going down towards the washer, causing the first prob to fail and the printer will attempt to clean the nozzle again, in mid air because Z went the wrong direction.

I’ve updated again to 1.1.9.16 (RC) and the problem is still there. Basically I’d have to restart the printer now after each successful/cancelled print.

Thanks!

I made a code ticket about this issue and they were able to solve it by editing the start gcode.

Try using this as your start gcode if you’ve got the standard extruder.
