Airless soccer ball with TPU

I have been trying to print one of the “Airless” type sports balls with tpu on a workhorse with .5 print head but have gotten nothing but about 30 failed prints. Has anyone here had success with this?

Hold up let me trouble shoot check the retraction & speed settings then come back here on this thread

I have tried everything from 10mm/s to 60mm/s

As long as your sure you cleared the chamber that’s somewhere to start then I would ask the people on YouTube because they have I just want the print chamber clear first

TPU isn’t great for the airless balls in the first place (at least if you’re going for full-size), but without any description of how it’s failing to print, I can’t offer anything but to make sure your support is dialed in, and do some retraction towers to get it calibrated.

I finally got them to print but I can’t seem to get rid of the stringing.

Dry it, but accept that flexibles are already prone to stringing, even when properly dried.

Some stringing tower tests and calibration for retraction/z hop can help, but the airless ball designs are all effectively retraction torture tests, and they generally take so long to print that even if you started with dry filament, it’s not dry at the end of the print, unless you’re printing from a heated drybox.
